The Ruby Condos mixed=use building is designed for an urban site located adjacent to the I-90 Ship
Canal Bridge. The building's form and circulation mitigates the acoustical and visual presence of the
Ship Canal Bridge for the 52 residential units, while still taking advantage of western views to Lake
Union. As the building steps back from Eastlake Avenue, it's mass provides shelter the green roof terrace
located above the ground floor retail. Metal and concrete are the primary exterior materials, chosen
for their low maintenance and durability.
